From November 21st to 23rd, the 2023 Jiangsu Brand Products Silk Road Tour (Zhenjiang Station) and the 2023 Morocco Trade Week were jointly organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Zhenjiang Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The event took place at the Office Des Changes Exhibition Hall in Casablanca. This event, with the provincial and municipal governments working in tandem, focused on the "Belt and Road" market. It aimed to implement the national strategy of promoting foreign trade, stabilizing scale, and optimizing structure, actively guiding enterprises to "go global," expand markets, and increase market share.
The Morocco Trade Week was organized by the Middle East International Exhibition Group (MIE) and has been successfully held for five editions. The last edition saw the participation of nearly 150 enterprises from provinces and cities such as Shanghai, Sichuan, Fujian, Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, and Ningxia. The event received support from delegations including the Hunan Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ningxia Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Qingdao Bureau of Commerce, Fujian Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Sichuan Machinery Research Institute, and the China Fastener Industry Association.
The Jiangsu delegation at this event was jointly powered by the Jiangsu Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Zhenjiang Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and enterprises from Zhenjiang. This exhibition aimed to leverage the opportunity to enhance the international influence of Zhenjiang's industries effectively, continue to promote Jiangsu's branded products globally, deepen the integration of local industrial clusters with the African market, expand international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with the Middle East market, and support the growth of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
On the opening day, the person in charge of the China region of the exhibition communicated earnestly with each exhibitor in the Jiangsu exhibition area, encouraging enterprises to innovate and develop boldly and to explore markets. The Jiangsu exhibition area saw an enthusiastic response from buyers who showed great interest in the products brought by the Jiangsu delegation. Some participating enterprises received expressions of interest from Saudi companies to cooperate or become agents during the exhibition period.
The 2023 Morocco Trade Week covered products including textiles, medical equipment, and more. The Jiangsu Belt and Road exhibition team was located at the prime position in the exhibition hall. The booth's design was simple and elegant, and the products were diverse and varied, receiving unanimous praise from the organizers and audience. The participating enterprises also recognized the effectiveness of the exhibition, having received nearly 3 million US dollars in intended orders through the event.
The Zhenjiang Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade continues to support enterprises with greater efforts to secure orders and explore markets. Through organizing exhibitions and other means, enterprises are organized to explore new international markets such as the "Belt and Road," RCEP, and Latin America, strengthening the promotion of local industrial clusters in the international market and enhancing the visibility of the "Four Clusters and Eight Chains" in the international market.
